Conversational AI Data Scientist/ Conversational design

Job Description:

The Gambit platform consists of a number of API-based micro-services, each bringing their value to the global setup of an investment advisory or discretionary management solution. Using language models to interact with the financial advisor, and in time with the investor directly is logic extension of our service.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data science solutions that will transform our virtual assistant into an invaluable tool for users. You will leverage your expertise in natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning to bridge the gap between user queries and actionable insights.

Tasks

• Design and develop LLM-based models to translate user questions into well-formed SQL queries.
• Build and refine LLM models for transforming raw data retrieved from databases into interpretable results for users (text, graphics, tables).
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to ensure seamless integration of your models into the virtual assistant platform.
• Continuously evaluate and improve the performance of your models using various metrics and user feedback.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in NLP, machine learning, and virtual assistant technologies.
• Document your work clearly and concisely for future reference and collaboration.

Required knowledge, skills & abilities

• Education: Master in Computer Science, Data scientist, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Technical proficiency: Exhibit expert proficiency in Python and SQL, essential for effective data analysis and queries. Familiarity with .Net is a plus.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing NLP or machine learning models, particularly with LLMs. Experience with RAG models is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A passion for innovation and a desire to push the boundaries of what's possible with AI.
• Understanding of APIs and Microservices: Familiarity with how APIs function, different API styles (RESTful), and how they facilitate communication between services in a microservices architecture.
• Experience working with virtual assistants or chatbots.
• Familiarity with cloud-based platforms for deploying machine learning models.
• Right mentality for a fintech / scale-up: We are looking for a Team-player, with an Entrepreneurial and leader mentality.
• Knowledge of banking and finance topics is a strong plus

Communication

• Fluent in FR & EN (NL is a plus)
• Good communication skills written and oral
