Gambit is currently at a turning point in its technological development, and is investing in its product, both from a technical as a functional point of view.

In our ambition to become a market leader in investment advisory technology, by delivering a “software as a service” for financial institutions in the cloud, Gambit is looking for a solution architect.

As solution architect you will take a leading role in the specification and roll out of Gambit’s product roadmap. You will join a multi-disciplinary team and will be in charge of designing the architecture of our API-based platform.

About gambit

Gambit Financial Solutions is a B2B WealthTech company, specialised in digital investment technology for financial institutions, helping investors and financial advisors making better decisions on their savings and investments. This includes selfcare solutions (roboadvisory), as solutions guiding the financial advisor during a face-to-face advice interview. Our customers are retail banks, private banks, digital banks, asset managers and insurance companies in continental Europe.

Gambit launched its own B2C robo advisor (Birdee.co), operating from Luxembourg and servicing the European market. In 2021, Birdee launched a B2B2C service called “Birdee as a Service” allowing third parties to integrate wealth management services into their ecosystem using API’s.

In 2017, BNP Paribas Asset Management took a majority stake into Gambit, which has been extended into a full ownership in 2021.

Tasks

• Build and maintain– in close collaboration the Technical Architect and the Product Management – a solid end-to-end architecture of the Gambit Platform. You will be responsible of the cut-out and design of our micro-service based platform.
• As a software vendor, a particular focus will be put on the application architecture, whilst taking into consideration the technological choices made in our product.
• Collaborate with the Product Management to determine application needs and determine the appropriate applicative architecture (modular cut-out) given the business needs and non-functional requirements (NFR).
• Support the Program/Product team, to formalize and model the Strategic- and Business layer of the architecture (capabilities, business function, business processes, value streams, etc.).
• Design conceptual data models, and hand-over towards the business analysts for further specification, including support during creation of the logical data model.
• Determine a roll-out plan of the architectural blueprint per development squad
• Support the development squads in the adoption- and eventual modification- of the architecture.
• Ensure the delivered solution respects the application architecture
• Reactivity and adaptability will be part of your daily challenges, as the Fintech environment is always on the move.

Required knowledge, skills & abilities

Education & Experience

• Bachelor or Master's degree, preferably in the field of computer science or technology field such as engineering.
• A minimum of 5 years experience as an solution or application architect: an extensive experience with Application Architecture, and preferable with Business and Technology architecture.
• Proficient knowledge of - and working experience in the ArchiMate modelling language, preferably within Sparx Enterprise Architect.
• A proficient and proven working experience with API-based micro-service architecture and DDD.
• Knowledge or skilled in cloud technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker, Azure, Helm charts...)
• Experience with .NET ecosystem development technologies (C#, .NET, Visual Studio, LINQ, …)
• Experience with relational database management system (SQL Server, PostgreSQL), and graph database (GraphQL)
• Understanding and experience of SAFe/Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience in a product oriented environment, preferably software vendor.
• Knowledge of banking and finance topics is a strong plus
• Knowledge of business process modeling techniques such as BPMN is a plus
